Greenland Adventure Race 2010

The race days are 18th till 23th of August. DIstribution of equipment after arrival in Narsarsuaq the 18th. First stage the 19th. Last stage and feast the 23th. Leaving Greenland for your home destination at the earliest at late afternoon on the 24th.

Third stage is open. This gives you the possibility of participating in the marathon around Qassiarsuk on the 21st of August 2010 without entering GAR for the other four stages.

Each stage is between 30 and 60 kilometers as usual, depending on the disciplines.

The route for GAR´10

The first stage starts and ends in the settlement of Narsarsuaq (by the airport). The participants will experience both ice and water, and they will use their mountain bikes.

Second stage starts from Narsarsuaq and ends in the settlement of Qassiarsuk. The stage is to be completed mainly on mountain bike.

Third stage is open and both start and end is in Qassiarsuk. This day the participants will complete a marathon on the tracks and dirt roads of the area.

Fourth stage is in sea kayak and starts from the town of Narsaq and ends in the town of Qaqortoq. You might have to pass land carrying the kayaks a few times.

Fifth and final stage is on feet in the area around Qaqortoq. The nights feast is held in town.
